Selmeczi Ilona interview for the magazine "Leadership", March 2010.
Why?
What other image could show and show me more attractive than a woman? I see women in the city and watch carefully. Study their behavior, his face, his gestures. Walk wrapped in their auras of different colors, there are yellow, purple, blue ...
Te cuento una anécdota que define el arte; my granddaughter Mica, (8 years), is an admirer of my work, is interested, he asks, painted by my side. Copy the pictures I'm doing creating her version, of course cooler than mine. One day I painted a naked woman to the holder of my blog: http://artdebans.blogspot.com/ she sees and paints his mother, in the same position and add a few arrows pointing to her private parts with the popular name. She shows me her paintings and says, "Abu place it on my blog (it has a Blog, with his drawings and paintings), I answer - I can not get on that Mica! Question, - Why? Why not, because it is a painting of a naked woman, who say it's your mom and she has placed these posters. "And what, did you not paint naked women? Yes but this is art, I say. She answers: Well! .. I m also
Io. 're also advertising ", a teacher, a writer?
Yes, I am advertising, I made a long career in this area, companies, agencies, media, and I teach at various universities. I have written several books on advertising, I also literature, but I never stopped painting. My father, advertising and painter, was my first teacher. At age 12 he entered the School of Fine Arts in Parana. In Buenos Aires frequented the workshop Meco Castilla and Nora Iniesta and the writers and Gudino Kieffer Blaisten Isidoro, but that's another story. With the publicity work, live art.
Do you sell boxes?
If I sold paintings, is a strange feeling. For one thing someone is excited about a painting of mine and is very flattering to find an owner, but it is sad when you take the workshop. The picture is an aesthetic, emotional, unique, gives meaning to existence, a time for the artist. I am happy-unhappy, is a sense of opposites, is a symbiosis that is broken. The story, a couple bought a painting of mine, a woman watching him closely, asked the husband, in a low voice: what do we bless, is it?
Is art changing the form of display, the traditional disappears?
art travels new roads, now is a plurality. The artist writes, takes photographs, plays, performances, installations, using projectors, creates environments, theatrical performance, hire actors, with spectacular shows, shapeless, shows the process of the work, discusses the concept to "help" the product final. Everything is very expensive, virtual resources are needed. The painting is going to become increasingly elitist, may no longer be called painters or artists are pasando del mundo físico al mundo virtual.
