The Municipality of San Nicolas Streams, through its Department of Culture, invites all writers born and / or resident in the province of Buenos Aires to participate of NINE PROVINCIAL LITERATURE CONTEST "Emma Rosa Mosto", created in tribute to one of the first writers in the city of San Nicolás de los Arroyos, his creative work and the transcendent power beyond the borders of their home turf.
BIO-BIBLIOGRAPHICAL PORTRAIT OF EMMA ROSE JUICE: Born in the town of San Nicolas de los Arroyos (Buenos Aires) on April 16, 1885. He studied at the Escuela Normal Mixta, receiving the title of master in 1905. In 1907 he was a teacher at the Escuela Normal de Lenguas Vivas thus the Federal Capital. For over three decades, the National College "Justo José de Urquiza" in the city of San Nicolas de los Arroyos, was among the most distinguished teachers, taking over the chair of French. RULES AND REGULATIONS:
1. Provincial Prize for Literature "Emma Rose Wort" is dedicated to writers born and / or residents in the province of Buenos Aires, no age limit.
2. Gender to compete are: poetry and short stories.
3. In poetry, you must submit one or more poems whose maximum length must not exceed, as a whole, hundred (100) verses or be less than thirty (30).
4. In narrative, you must send a story which must not exceed the five facets.
5. The referral of work will be carried out in triplicate, on letter size paper, typed or PC on a single sheet of paper, double spaced, signed with a pseudonym.
6. Inside a sealed envelope in front of which only contain the name of the work and the chosen pseudonym, will be included participant's personal data, namely: name, number and type of identity, place and date of birth, address, telephone number and brief literary curriculum, if any. Moreover, the handwriting is affixed the following legend: "I declare that the work is my original participant and has not been published or awarded prior to this tournament."
7. Works can be delivered personally or sent by mail to PROVINCIAL LITERATURE PRIZE "EMMA ROSE JUICE", Department of Culture, Calle Maipú No. 10 (2900) San Nicolás de los Arroyos, Province of Buenos Aires.
8. The date of receipt of papers expire, inevitably, the day September 30, 2009, taking as reference the date of postmark.
9. As awards are instituted to provide for each gender, the following: FIRST PRIZE: prizes of silver and diploma; SECOND PRIZE: plaque and diploma; THIRD PLACE: plaque and diploma, and four honorable mentions, which will be creditors of diplomas CERTIFICATION.
10. It may declare the proposed awards, but never extend the register set for that purpose.
11. The jury will consist of three prominent writers in the region, whose names will be announced with the winners.
